Nina Gonzalez is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in beautiful Guatemala. These days, she calls the vibrant town of Antigua Guatemala her home—right in the heart of creativity, culture, and cobblestone charm.
Art has always been her way of connecting with the world, and over time, that connection has expanded beyond the canvas. She has been vegan for over five years, and that lifestyle naturally led her to explore deeper relationships with food, the planet, and myself. Solo traveling became a big part of that journey—trying local dishes (plant-based, of course!), spending hours in museums, and having picnics wherever she could lay out a blanket. It’s the little moments that feed her soul.
One of her favorite things about living in Guatemala is how easy it is to escape into nature. Whether it’s a hidden river, a tranquil lake, or the Pacific coast, there’s always a place to swim, breathe, and just be. In Mayan culture, connecting with nature is at the core of everything—and she carries that wisdom with her in all that she does.
Thanks for being here. She is so happy to share this part of the journey with you.

Anna was so welcoming and planned everything out so thoughtfully out so that we could connect with the local culture in a very intentional way, down to the minuscule details and I doubt I would have been able to explore Guatemala in the same way had I not joined this group trip with Anna. I highly recommend joining her on a trip as it is an exciting and unique opportunity to join others with similar values on an incredible experience.

We had an amazing time on this trip! The group was full of wonderful people, and the overall experience was truly memorable. The food was delicious, and it was such a relief not having to think about what to eat since everything was already vegan. The accommodations were comfortable & GORGEOUS, and I really appreciated that we stayed in boutique hotels that supported local businesses. I also loved that our trip directly contributed to local communities—supporting over 40 businesses and portion of proceeds donated to help fund education for Guatemalan locals.

This was the trip of a lifetime! I was able to experience the beauty and excitement of Guatemala without having to plan a single thing! We learned about the culture and history of the country, watched demonstrations on multiple trades, ate some incredible food, and hiked a volcano… Overall, Anna and her crew made this week one of the best in my life so far and I can never thank any of them enough.
