The itinerary

An alley in Rome with historic buildings on both sides and greenery hanging across the street, under a bright sky.

We are thrilled to welcome you to "The Eternal City".

We'll pick you up from the airport and give you some time to check in to our stunning, centrally located accommodations before heading to our welcome dinner at a traditional vegan restaurant in the city and "salute" to a wonderful week ahead

Meals included: dinner

A panoramic view of Rome's historic cityscape with ancient ruins, including the Colosseum, and lush green trees. The text 'DAY TWO Rome' is overlaid in bold white letters.

After a delicious vegan breakfast at the hotel, we’ll get our walking shoes on and meet up with Rome native, Roberta, for a fully vegan walking tour of the city. We’ll get to try all the local vegan bites and learn about naturally local vegan cuisine.

Then, in the afternoon, we’ll meet up with another Rome local for a history tour of the city to explore what makes this city so magical.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, additional snacks

Historic Greek-style temple with statues on the roof and columns, surrounded by trees, with text overlay reading "Day Three Rome/Tuscany".

The morning is yours to enjoy in Rome! Do some shopping, wander the streets, visit a museum, or just enjoy some extra beauty sleep. We’ll give you a list of recommendations of our favorite things to do on a morning in Rome.

In the afternoon, we’ll hop on a bus to Tuscany to continue our adventure in the countryside.

We’ll settle into our retreat in the Tuscan countryside, Borgo Tignano just in time for dinner!

A rustic wooden dining table set with plates of food, a glass of white wine, a wine glass, and a small bouquet of flowers in a vase, with the text "Day Four Tuscany" overlaid.

Did someone say vegan wine?!

Yes, not all wine is vegan but many Tuscan wine makers have employed fully vegan winemaking processes. From utilizing fava beans, nettle, and sulfur instead of animal manure for a more sustainable approach to a plant based fining process, we’ll see Tuscany’s most innovative winemakers. Including stopping for a vegan lunch throughout the day and of course, trying all the wines.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, additional snacks

Scenic view of hillside in Tuscany with historic city walls, lush green trees, and colorful flowering trees under a blue sky with some clouds, with text overlay "Day Five Tuscany".

Nothing says “Italy” quite like a cooking class!

We’ll join the chef of our stunning accommodations in the kitchen to cook a three course (yes, fully vegan) meal! Starting with a Tuscan appetizer, local pasta dish, and a delicious, naturally vegan dessert.

You’ll have the rest of the day free to lounge by the pool or take in the scenery.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

Various baskets of grapes and apples displayed at a market stall in Florence on day six.

It’s not Tuscany without seeing Florence!

We’ll take a day trip into Florence to explore the city and go on a vegan food tour with our local city expert. We’ll return to our lovely hotel in Tuscany before doing a farewell dinner.

Time to say our farewells!

What’s the weather like in Italy?

Rome and Tuscany are best enjoyed during the "shoulder seasons". In spring and fall, you can expect pleasant weather—generally ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s °F—with blooming landscapes in May and June and golden harvest colors in September and October.

We run our trips during these months to give you the best of Italy: comfortable temperatures, vibrant scenery, and the perfect atmosphere for exploring historic cities and the Tuscan countryside. And also, avoid the summer crowds and high heat.

meet your trip leader

Born and raised in Sardinia, Federica started travelling in her twenties across Europe and north Africa, and met people from all over the world which made her fall in love with travelling.

A few years later she went back to her home region and started working in tourism and event management such as the World Rally Championship. 2006 is when she became vegetarian after driving right behind a truck which was carrying a number of lambs to the slaughterhouse during Easter time.

It took some years to turn vegan and start studying nutrition as well as vegan pastry so that she could share her products with everyone. Her son Gioele has also been vegan since birth and enjoys travelling with her mum and ranking food from different countries while embracing different cultures.
