A message about safety
The once in a lifetime trip everyone can’t stop raving about.
Jordan sits at one of the oldest crossroads of human civilization. People have been living, farming, cooking, and building here for thousands of years. And their passion for the land is unmatched. You can feel that weight in a way that’s hard to describe until you’ve been there. This isn’t just a history tour. It’s an immersion.
About two-thirds of Jordan’s population is of Palestinian origin, and the food, culture, and stories of this trip reflect that reality honestly. We do a mix of Palestinian and Jordanian owned businesses and showcase both cultures. And your dollars make a real difference.
For every traveler booked, we donate to Denizens Society — a Palestinian-run organization providing urgent medical care, food, and housing to recently evacuated Gazan refugees.
We keep this group to 10 people for a reason. Jordan is intimate. The experiences you have here, sleeping under the stars in Wadi Rum, floating in the Dead Sea, experiencing a Palestinian street art tour are better when you share them with a small group.
🫒
A grandmother’s olive farm
A visit to a local Jordanian family’s olive farm outside Amman. We'll have a home-cooked lunch prepared just for our group, and a bottle of fresh-pressed olive oil to take home.
🏜️
A night in a bubble hotel in Wadi Rum
Sleep in the desert under the clearest sky you’ve ever seen in a lux bubble hotel. Hollywood uses Wadi Rum as a set for Mars. And when you’re there, you’ll see why.
🏛️
Petra, World Wonder
Walk to the Treasury and understand immediately why this is one of the seven wonders of the world with a local guide to tell you all the history.
What you’ll actually do
This is a sample itinerary based on past trips. Exact timing may vary slightly due to vendor schedules, weather, or other circumstances — but the experiences below represent what a typical Vegan AF Guatemala trip looks like.
what it costs
and what you’ll get
double occupancy
$4,350 / person
Shared room with one other traveler (same gender)
single room upgrade
$5,350 / person
Your own private room
Book for only a $750 deposit and pay the rest in monthly installments with 0% interest or upcharge.
-
Double occupancy means you’ll share a room with one other traveler of the same gender. Your beds are separate — think two twin beds or two double beds. This is the most common choice on our trips, and most travelers who book this way end up glad they did. You’ll likely be spending all your time exploring together anyway, and it’s a great way to instantly bond with a new friend.
-
We’d be happy to put you together! At checkout, it will ask if you’re traveling with a friend or partner to please put their name so we can place you together!
-
Prefer your own space? Add the single supplement ($1000) and you’ll have a private room — same hotel, same itinerary, just your own place to decompress. Both options are available on every departure.
-
Your $750 deposit holds your spot. After that, WeTravel automatically generates a 0% interest payment plan that divides the remaining balance into equal installments — completing 30 days before your departure. You’ll see your exact payment schedule before you confirm your booking. No surprises.

Coming solo? Most of us are.
The majority of people who book Vegan AF trips come alone. Not because they don’t have people to travel with — but because they haven’t found anyone who travels like this. People who actually care about what they eat, where their money goes, and who they spend their time with.
By day two, you won’t feel like you came alone. That’s not marketing copy — it’s what our travelers tell us, trip after trip.
… and we’re leaving with friends for life.

Questions we get all the time
-
We monitor the situation in Jordan and the broader region carefully and continuously. Jordan itself has remained stable and welcoming to international travelers. We would not run this trip if we did not believe it was safe for our travelers. If you have specific concerns, please reach out! We’re happy to talk through it directly.
-
We understand an additional cost can be frustrating. But our top priority is your safety. If an illness, emergency, fall, or disaster happens, we need to make sure we can act as quickly as possible for your health and safety. You can purchase it as an add on at checkout for convenience or get it from a third party site and upload it later. We recommend InsureMyTrip or Squaremouth for easy comparison.
-
Nope! We actually get quite a few non vegans on the trip. Whether you don’t eat certain types of meat for religious reasons, are pescetarian, vegetarian, or just are down for the ride, you’re welcome here! The food served on the trip is vegan though so you do need to be comfortable eating vegan for a week.
-
We cap every departure at 14 travelers. Small enough that everyone gets to know each other, big enough to have that real group energy.
-
No. You book your own flights into Rome (FCO) and out of Florence (FLR) — or we can advise on the best routing. Our first activity is a 7 pm welcome dinner on day 1 so we recommend arriving in time for that. On the last day, we’ll head to FLR airport together. We recommend booking a flight after 1 pm.
-
All our trips are 100% vegan, but we know that’s not the only consideration. If you have any allergies, please reach out to us at hello@veganaftravel.com with the trip you’re interested in booking and your allergy.
Note: we unfortunately cannot accommodate gluten allergy on the Italy trip at this time.
-
If you’d like to extend your trip before or after, we’d be happy to help you and give recommendations. We also can help you book a night early at the first hotel. Airport transfer is not included before the first day of the itinerary however Uber is functional in Italy and is a great option.
-
Up to 90 days before your trip, you may transfer any payments made to another trip within one calendar year at no additional cost. Within 90 days of departure, we are unable to offer cancellations or changes, as payments to our vendors have already been finalized. We strongly recommend purchasing “Cancel for Any Reason” travel insurance for added flexibility and peace of mind.
-
Yes, absolutely. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind, which is outlined in the terms and conditions you agree to at checkout. Creating a safe, inclusive environment for all travelers is a top priority. We reserve the right to remove anyone from a trip who violates this policy.
-
We pride ourselves on having a wide range of ages on our trips. Some of our best experiences come from bringing together people from all walks of life. While the average age typically falls between 25–40, we’ve welcomed travelers from 18 to 70+, and that diversity is something we truly value.
If you have any physical considerations or would like more details about activity levels, feel free to reach out to us at hello@veganaftravel.com. We’re happy to help you find the right fit.
what happens when you book?
What’s the weather like in Jordan?
Jordan has a desert climate with hot summers and cool winters, making spring and fall the most pleasant times to visit. Amman sits at about 2,800 ft altitude, keeping it mild, while Petra, at 4,000 ft, is even cooler. During April, May, October, and November, daytime temperatures typically range from the mid-60s to mid-80s °F, with cooler evenings.
We run our trips during these months so you can enjoy Jordan at its best: sunny days, comfortable temperatures, and ideal conditions for exploring ancient cities, hiking desert canyons, and floating in the Dead Sea.
Who this trip is for
✔️ Someone who wants to visit the Middle East but with a little extra guidance. We’ll have both a trip leader and a tour guide with you every step of the way. Want someone to translate while you shop? We’ve got you. Have a question about the building you’re driving by? It’ll be answered!
✔️ Someone who wants a trip that matters. Jordan isn’t just an incredible destination. It’s a place with one of the deepest, most layered histories on earth. Not only with you experience Wadi Rum, Petra, and the must visit destinations, you’ll learn about Palestinian history, culture, street art, and so much more. We also give back from this trip to Gazan refugees evacuated to Cairo.
✔️ Someone curious about a different part of the world. Most of us know very little about Jordan, the Palestinian experience, or the food traditions of this region. This trip changes that. Not only through history tours, but through meals at a local grandmother’s table, conversations with people who live there, and experiences that can’t be replicated anywhere else.
✔️ Someone who wants depth, not just beauty. Jordan attracts our most thoughtful travelers. People who read before they go, who ask questions, who want to understand what they’re seeing. If that sounds like you, this is your trip.
Who this trip isn’t for
❌ First-time international travelers looking for something familiar. Jordan is extraordinary, but it’s also genuinely different from Western Europe or Latin America. If you want something more accessible for a first international trip, start with Italy or Greece.
❌ Travelers seeking pure leisure. Jordan is rich, full, and profound, and our guides don’t hold back about the history. But it is a full trip. Come ready to be engaged and make the most out of what Jordan offers!
❌ Budget-conscious travelers. At $4,350, Jordan is our highest-investment trip and it reflects the experience. If price is a significant factor, Guatemala at $2,850 is extraordinary value and an incredible trip.
