…but make it vegan

Italian summer

Sardinia is where Italians go on vacation. And we’re doing it with Federica, our Sardinian local. We’re exploring all of the local vegan eats you can’t find on a map, staying at a local vegan family’s guesthouse and doing a home-cooked pizza night and doing a boat day on the beaches of Cagliari.

We built this trip with our trip leader who was born and raised on the island. So you're not getting the tourist version of Sardinia. You're getting the real Sardinia: the winery she loves, the vegan cheese makers down the street, the local shops that do vegan options just for us.

And like every Vegan AF trip, the food and activities bring you here, but it’s the people on the trip you’ll be friends with for life. Coming solo and leaving with a group chat that never goes quiet? That's our favorite trip souvenir. ;)

🌊

island days

A guided tour of Neptune's Cave, a day on the boat with vegan eats, and beach time in Cagliari. This is the Italian summer you've been picturing, but make it vegan.

🍷

Wine, Cheese, & Pizza

A vegan winery tour, tasting, and lunch. A tour and tasting at a vegan cheese factory. Pizza night at a vegan guesthouse.

👯

12 people who get it

No explaining where you get your protein from. No sad side salads. Just 12 people who care about the same things you do, on one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean.

Coming solo? Most of us are.

The majority of people who book Vegan AF trips come alone. And leave with friends for life. We’ve seen travelers do vegan meetups in their cities, start book clubs together, stay in touch for years & years after the trip. We’ve even had two travelers fall in love and get engaged after a trip.

That’s the magic that happens when you come on a trip with likeminded people.

… and we’re leaving with friends for life.

Questions we get all the time

what happens when you book?

What’s the weather like in Sardinia?

June is one of the best times to visit Sardinia. Expect long, sunny days, warm temperatures (typically in the low to mid 80s °F / high 20s °C), and sea water that's warm enough for swimming without the peak crowds of July and August. Evenings are pleasant for dinners outdoors, and the hills around Sorradile run a little cooler than the coast. Pack your swimsuit, sunscreen, and a light layer for the evenings.

Who this trip is for

✔️ Someone who wants the Italian beach summer without the vegan logistics.

Crystal-clear water, a day on the boat, gelato by the sea. And never having to ask whether the focaccia has lard in it or settle for a sad side salad.

✔️ Someone who plans their trip around the food.

Vegan wine, vegan cheese, pizza night, focaccia, and gelato. Sardinia has some of the most distinctive food in Italy, and this trip is built around eating it.

✔️ Someone who wants sun, sea, and a little adventure.

Caves, coastline, swimming stops, and three very different corners of the island in one week. This trip moves more than our Italy trip, with something new every couple of days.

✔️ A solo traveler ready for connection.

Most people who book come alone and leave with friends for life. The group is small (max 12), which is the perfect size for real connections.

Who this trip isn’t for

❌ Travelers looking for big-city sightseeing.

This is an island trip. Think beaches, small towns, and the countryside, rather than museums and famous monuments. If you want history and cities, check out our Rome and Tuscany trip.

This Might Not Be Your Trip — But One of These Might Be

Visit Guatemala

Volcano hikes, Mayan textiles, and Lake Atitlán. Italy’s slower pace is wonderful, but if you’re looking for a faster pace and more adventure, Guatemala is your vibe.

Want some beach time and boat days?

Visit Greece

Ancient ruins, dancing ‘til sunrise, and incredible vegan food. Similar European ease but on the Greek islands.

something deeper culturally and historically?

Visit Jordan

One of the oldest civilizations on earth, extraordinary hospitality, and a trip that’ll change how you see the world. More adventurous, more meaningful, and unforgettable.

meet your trip leader

Born and raised in Sardinia, Federica started traveling in her twenties across Europe and north Africa, and met people from all over the world, which made her fall in love with traveling.

A few years later she went back to her home region and started working in tourism and event management such as the World Rally Championship. 2006 is when she became vegetarian after driving right behind a truck which was carrying a number of lambs to the slaughterhouse during Easter time.

It took some years to turn vegan and start studying nutrition as well as vegan pastry so that she could share her products with everyone. Her son Gioele has also been vegan since birth and enjoys traveling with her mum and ranking food from different countries while embracing different cultures.
